WOOD CHIPPER KNIFE SHARPENING

Is your chipper working hard to chip material well within its capacity? Blunt knives cause more stress for the operator and machine. Don’t put up with dull or wrongly sharpened knives – try our precision sharpening service.

Using our automatic knife grinder, our staff ensure that your knives are finely honed in sets to the correct angle to ensure uniform sizes for balance and ultimate performance. Coolant is used to preserve the correct blade hardness, and double edged knives will have the bolt holes centralised for turning in the field without anvil adjustment.

Our Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth service centres each have a ‘state of the art’ 74 inch magnetic clamp vertical head knife sharpener that will precisely sharpen your chipper knives to the correct angle. Each machine is equipped with an automated lubrication system to ensure that the knives stay cool at all times during the sharpening process. Our busy knife sharpening technicians will expertly sharpened all sizes of knives for any make or model of chipper including Bandit, Vermeer, Morbark, Red Roo, Rayco and others.

Having our own in-house knife sharpeners ensures that we maintain the highest standards of sharpening and guarantees FAST turn-around times when you need your knives sharpened quickly. You can drop them in or send them to us and once they are sharpened we will send them right back to you ready for work in your chipper.

CHIPPER KNIFE BOXES

Bushwood Equipment Sales have designed and developed a knife box that has a handle to make carrying heavy blades safer and more efficient as well as a greater lifespan due to the use of a high grade PPUV stable plastic that also protects it from the harsh Australian sun. Not only does it minimise risk but it also allows users to carry two boxes at once, with up to 8 big blades or 16 small blades across the two boxes. The box lid is tightened by hand using a wing nut and bolt to ensure the user is in control of securing the box safely.

ACCUSHARP KNIFE AND TOOL SHARPENER

This general purpose blade sharpener is ideal for putting an edge on dull chipper knives without removing them from chipper. (Make sure you are wearing kevlar gloves.)

CUT RESISTANT GLOVES

These gloves have a “Super Grip” coating over a knitted fabric reinforced with Kevlar, which provides protection from sharp objects. These gloves are recommended for handling or sharpening wood chipper blades.
